love aesthetics is like that screen name you made in 2008. and by you, i mean me. totally sincere. a bit dramatic. my blog name from the 2000’s is still holding up. she’s an OG and she still means it. more than ever, in fact. because if beauty is perception, and perception is reality, then what does it mean to notice something? what if beauty and love are really just the same thing? the word aesthetics comes from aisthesis, greek for perception. what is the driving force behind the formal expression of that flower petal? do we shape our spaces? or do our spaces shape us? here we are, still obsessed with the interplay of the internal and external. the idea and the object.
